We can all see the effect of particularly assertive people getting what they want. But not all of us are like them; we might be people who think more deeply about consequences before pushing our agenda. How can we, the thinkers, be assertive and succeed?
It is perfectly possible to be both conscientious of others, and strong. Contrary to popular belief, these qualities coexist: there is every reason a person can act without harming others, while protecting their own interests. This can be applied to business, personal and family life, sports and games.
