When Maria Giudice began her career as a software and user experience designer, there were very few women leading in the field. She’s been able to blaze a trail, including creating a major business and selling it to Facebook.
Now as the VP of experience design at the software firm Autodesk, Giudice is convinced that being a woman in a male-dominated field can be an advantage. “Women really shouldn’t look at the fact that they’re less in numbers as a disadvantage, they should use it as a competitive differentiator,” she tells me.
